Our HI-life process is intended to integrate home and parish into a comprehensive model of faith formation. The family is the church of the home and a community of learning and practice of the faith. Empowering and equipping individuals and families to live their faith at home and in the world are integral to our HI-life process.

Home activities / resources seek to:

• extend and expand the learning that has taken place through participation in the HI-life Gatherings and the actual event
• engage families and individuals in living the event at home through traditions and celebrations, rituals, symbols, prayers, service, learning activities, and enrichment activities by providing a variety of activities and resources for nuturing faith
• create a pattern of home faith sharing that becomes integral to home life and is woven into the fabric of daily life

In our eighth year of whole community catechesis we focus on the action of the Holy Spirit in the sacraments. Our theme is Wild Goose Chase … Catch the Spirit in the Sacraments.  The wild goose is a Celtic symbol for the Holy Spirit. It embodies the untamable and unpredictable nature of the Spirit and is a reminder that the Spirit is disturber as well as comforter. The sacraments are at the heart of our life as Catholics, the way we celebrate together our continuing conversion and encounter with God. Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing, Marriage, and Holy Orders--all are activities that require preparation to bring us to the fullness of our life in community and in Christ.
