Ongoing Faith Formation (HI-life)
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in their faith
(through involvement in the parish faith formation process: HI-life). HI-life for youth involves participation in the monthly intergenerational HI-life gathering and TYM Sunday night sessions about twice a month. Youth are expected to participate in retreats and service activities.

Baptism Certificate. If you were not baptized at Holy Infant, it is required that we have a copy of your baptismal certificate on file.
Eligibility letter from the sponsor's parish stating they are eligible to serve as a sponsor. (The letter is not necessary if the sponsor is a Holy Infant parishioner.) The Code of Canon Law is quite specific about who may be selected as a sponsor. For other requirements and additional information about sponsors, see Sponsors - Roles and Responsibilities.
Stewardship / Service Opportunities & Summary
All candidates are expected to demonstrate a readiness to enter the immediate phase of the preparation for Confirmation by demonstrating good stewardship (through participation in the group service projects). Candidates will be expected to be involved in service projects. These will be explained at our first session. Most of the projects will offer a choice of times. A stewardship summary is required.
Letter of Commitment to the Pastor
A letter to the pastor, indicating a desire to be confirmed and reasons for requesting this sacrament is due prior to the interview. This letter should be at least one full page. Interviews with the pastor or his designated representative will be scheduled prior to the celebration of the sacrament.
Confirmation Retreat
The one-day Confirmation Retreat is an important part of this process. It is for candidates only and takes place in the spring. For more information, see Confirmation Retreat.
Piedmont Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation
The dates for the deanery celebration(s) are set according to the bishop’s schedule. Candidates and sponsors are required to attend a rehearsal. The number of guests is limited. See the current Confirmation Schedule.
