Refugee Resettlement Project

The Holy Infant Refugee Resettlement Team is working with World Relief Services, one of the resettlement agencies in Durham.   We set up up homes for a new familyeach month.   We do not need to provide the furniture, but we put things together, add homey touches and provide groceries and household products for the new family.  We do not meet the family or have contact with them after they move in.  Parishioners who would like to be involved with the set-up must register with World Relief Services and complete online training and background checks.   For more information contact Lynn Sale ([email protected] )  or Barbara Gadient ([email protected] )

Because this activity comes with very little advance notice, we also have a Support Team to help with last-minute shopping.   This could involve a trip to Walmart or a grocery store.   It does not involve training or background checks since members of the Support Team do not go to the house.
